Un materasso sul quale è adagiato un lenzuolo in disordine. Al centro, la figura di una donna.

Non si tratta però di un corpo tridimensionale, bensì della sua silhouette che emerge dalla patina bronzea al cui centro è visibile il dorato sottostante, come se la patinatura stessa avesse subito un ripetuto strofinamento.

La sagoma è impressa sulla superficie del materasso dalla forte pressione esercitata in precedenza su un corpo, ora smaterializzato; metafora della violenza reiterata sulle donne.

A matress where a sheet has been throw. In the middle a woman. It’s not a three-dimensional figure but a silhouette out from the bronze patina.

In the middle you can see the golden substratum representing the repeated rubbing. The silhouette is what remains after the strong pressure applied on the woman’s body that now has lost its material feature.

The sculpture is the metaphor of the reiterated violence against women.

The bed symbolizes the Crucifixion: the mattress is the place where the violence occurs and the woman is the Christ experiencing the Passion.
